Dear folks,

Championships season is open, Summer is around the corner, it’s time to gather the Messfam! We are thrilled to have you here for these soon-to-become unforgettable days. We wish for an event free of violence, harassment or discrimination of any kind. The “safer space policy” means a lot to the ECMC organisers, but beyond policy we want each and every participant to feel welcome and acknowledged. In order to actively make these championships as safe as possible, promote awareness, solidarity and diversity within our community, we would like to introduce you to the AwareMess Initiative.

As in any community, we can agree or disagree, we all think differently and voice our opinions differently, some can go to bed while some go crazy. Let’s feel free to be who we are while caring for each other. Among us, to help ensure a safer space for all, you’ll find easily recognizable volunteers wearing shirts with the AwareMess logo on it. They are messengers, messfriends and allies, available at all times during official events and parties, to whoever may need support, help, or just a friendly ear. Together, let’s raise our standard of inclusivity and respect.

If you are interested in being part of the AwareMess crew, please send us an email for more information.
Meanwhile, stay awesome (or aim for it!).

Together, for a safer mess.
